Our Team

Our most important asset, beyond the setting and the equipment provided, are our teachers. Their experience and passion for education, together with a close team approach, are critical to providing the very best for the children at our school. We aim for our key teachers to be Montessori qualified, as well as holding extensive additional qualifications in topics such as safeguarding, special educational needs and physical development. All our teachers hold enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Certificates, as well as Paediatric First Aid Certificates.

Here is a brief introduction to our team:

Miss Rajka

Miss Rajka Originally from Montenegro, Rajka gained her Montessori teaching qualification with the Montessori Centre International in 2009, and has taught and managed Montessori nursery schools in the UK for the past ten years.

Rajka brings not only an expertise in Montessori and early childhood education, but also a passion and dedication to teaching which shines through in her daily practice.

Rajka is also a qualified practitioner in yoga for children, mindfulness for children, forest schooling, as well as in special educational needs.

Rajka has one daughter, a dog called Charlie, and loves travelling, and visiting museums and galleries.

Miss Laura

Miss Laura After 15 years working in environmental sustainability for a multinational business, Laura had a career change to follow her passion for teaching and to join Rocks Lane as her family business.

She completed her teaching qualification with the Montessori Centre International, and taught at the renowned Iverna Gardens Montessori.

Laura is a true local who loves to travel and explore the world; born and bred in West London, she travelled to the U.S.A. for her undergraduate degree, and worked for 2 years with the National University of Singapore. Laura has 3 children, and loves music, art, yoga and most of all, being both a Mum and a teacher.

Miss Bella

Miss Bella Bella qualified from the Montessori Centre International in 2007, and has over 15 years of teaching practice.

Her passion and instinct for early years education shines through her work, collecting beautiful activities from daily life to share with the children.

Bella has 3 daughters, and loves writing poetry, reading and nature. She has also completed not one, or two, but four London marathons.

Miss Zahra

Miss Zahra In 2019 we were lucky to welcome Miss Zahra to our team. Zahra gained her Montessori qualification from the Montessori Centre International (MCI) in 2011, and built up her experience working in Montessori settings in Dubai, where they shared the UK’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) approach to early years education.

In her words, "A child is an individual with his/her own unique capability and it our job as educators to mould our teaching to bring the best out of each child.”
